It's well, with my soul...

Há um hino antigo muito cantado nas igrejas protestantes que no Brasil traduzimos "Sou feliz com Jesus". É simplesmente lindo. Nem todos talvez sabem da história desse hino.
O autor dessa música só escreveu ela em toda a sua vida. Ele estava mudando da Inglaterra, indo para Nova Yorque, e sua esposa e suas filhas foram num barco à frente. Esse barco veio a naufragar, com toda a sua família e bens.
Quando ele pegou um segundo barco, indo à NYC, o capitão de seu barco mostrou o local do acidente. E assim surgiu essa música que os primeiros versos em português assim é cantado:

SE PAZ A MAIS DOCE ME DERES GOZAR,
SE DOR, A MAIS FORTE, SOFRER
OH, SEJA O QUE FOR TU ME FAZES SABER
QUE FELIZ HOJE ESTOU COM JESUS.

SOU FELIZ COM JESUS MEU SENHOR.

Porém, a letra em inglês, o autor vai mais profundo. No refrão, ele diz

ESTÁ TUDO BEM COM MINHA ALMA/IT'S WELL WITH MY SOUL
